The article I generated still needed a heavy rewrite:

Content Rewriter and Humanizer
Both tools are easy to start. You can provide source material as text, a URL, or a file, then choose language and length settings.

The test exposed three practical limitations:
Neither workflow highlighted changes, making before-and-after review harder.

Site Audit
I ran the beta Site Audit on rankup.so. The captured test returned a site-health score of 64 and grouped findings clearly enough to move from the overview into individual issues.

The overview also displayed an Ahrefs-derived domain rating. The audit itself covered eight concrete categories:

After onboarding, Writesonic generated an initial AI search report. Its Answers tab showed each prompt, the AI response, platform, topic, and whether RankUp appeared, giving me answer-level evidence for checking the report’s summary metrics.

After the onboarding report, Writesonic took me to its main AI visibility overview. This was the first dashboard I saw, presenting the headline metrics before I opened the detailed views.

The platform view separated AI visibility and citation share by system. That comparison was useful, but I would still validate the underlying answers before treating small differences as meaningful.

The webpage-level table was more actionable because it identified the third-party pages appearing as AI sources. That created a concrete outreach list, although changing independent content still depended on each publisher.

The citation-source breakdown separated owned, competitor, third-party, and social or forum sources. It clarified where citations came from, but did not explain which source deserved action first.

Several observed discrepancies made the reporting harder to trust or interpret:

The niche leaderboard surfaced Birdeye, Similarweb, Semrush, and SE Ranking, which were poor matches for RankUp’s direct competitive set.

The share-of-voice and rank views made competitive performance easier to scan. Their value still depended on the competitor set, and the rank view did not clearly explain which prompt intents it covered.

Prompt search volume remained blank for days, although the interface indicated a wait of about an hour.

One citation screen appeared to assign two cited answers to visible sources that did not mention RankUp.

The initial trend graph was hard to interpret. Topic-level citation share could guide resource allocation only if the underlying data is reliable.

These were discrepancies observed in one workspace, not evidence that every Writesonic report behaves the same way. They do mean I would verify important recommendations against the underlying answers and cited pages.

I opened one recommended topic in Article Writer, but did not measure any resulting change in AI visibility. I reviewed the outreach and technical recommendations without applying them to the live site.

Chatsonic’s content-planning test returned loose ideas rather than a prioritized plan. Someone still had to decide which topics mattered and what order to create them in.

What happened when Writesonic generated the article
The progress screen listed real-time data gathering, web research, fact-checking, competitor analysis, quote extraction, and SEO optimization. Seeing each task update made the generation process easy to follow.

Writesonic then began generating the article section by section inside the editor.

The finished article had a workable structure, but it read like a generic AI draft. Broad benefit claims repeated across sections, product context stayed thin, and the research did not produce a distinctive angle.
One generated visual also made me pause: the SE Ranking section included a chart that needed verification and editorial judgment before publication.

Five areas still needed manual work:

What happened when I tested the Rewriter and Humanizer
The Rewriter starts by asking for source content. You can paste text, enter a link, or upload a file before configuring the rewrite.
For this separate test, I entered the URL of an unrelated draft from the RankUp website. Writesonic then moved the content into its basic rewrite settings.

The next step asked for the output language and content length. Writesonic provided Humanize and rewrite actions, but the Rewriter did not highlight what changed or where, making the result harder to review.

One article plus those actions exhausted the usable allowance on the test account. The Rewriter then returned an error asking me to upload fewer than 5,000 words.
